Why DANCE?

Gain understanding of God’s Blueprint concerning dance and stir your spirit to see that Blueprint come into fulfilment in your life & the lives of others. Dance was created to function as a powerful tool of communication in the Kingdom of God for His Glory. Come be developed for ONE, TWO or THREE years and learn how to minister through dance, whether professionally or in congregational ministry. Be moved by God’s Spirit to discover & understand your purpose in dance, birthed from the Fathers heart.

IN A ONE YEAR CURRICULUM:

(A) Dance Training:

A-LEVELS:

Practical guidelines & exercises; Learning combinations & patterns; Basic movements & improvisation; Choreograph own dance; Biblical perspective; History of dance. A Minimum of SIX Subjects must be completed:

  • Tap Rhythms A
  • Dance History A

B-LEVELS:
Advanced techniques & floor work; Word study; How to minister more effectively; Improvisation; Designing and/or making of props; Class choreography & production; Choreograph own dances.
A Minimum of THREE Subjects must be completed:

DRAMATIC MOVEMEMENT:
Exercises to develop creativity & spontaneity in worshipping God through movement; Biblical References to dance; Basic dance principles & experience.

DANCE PERSPECTIVE:
Purpose of dance; Restoration of dance in the church; Group discussions on various controversial topics relating to dancing; How to start a dance group in a local congregation.

DANCE EDUCATION A:
How to teach children to dance; Teaching children technique & dances; Handling various class situations.

DANCE EDUCATION B:
How to present A-levels; Handling various class situations; Sitting in A-levels; Practical class presentation.

   
BODY LANGUAGE EDUCATION A:
Learn a new language of Worship; Combination of exercise & dance; God’s purpose & perspective; Create own routines; Learn new routines; Basic anatomy.

DANCE TECHNIQUE & EXPRESSION A:
Learning different dance techniques & styles; Why technique is important; Vocabulary of movements; Learning choreographed dance; Basic Anatomy.

(B) Lifestyle Training:

HEAR AND OBEY:
A practical way of learning to walk with God on a daily basis and growing in discerning His voice.

PROPHETIC CREATIVITY A:
Creating an awareness about the prophetic; passionate dynamics to launch people into the prophetic; relevance.

PROPHETIC CREATIVITY B:
Definition of a breakthrough believer’s lifestyle; breakthrough relationship lifestyle (building in the Spirit); breakthrough worship lifestyle; breakthrough leadership lifestyle.

PROPHETIC EVANGELISM:
Learning to hear from God and then to be led to impact lives creatively.

SCHOOL OF THE PROPHETS:
A two week intensive equipping in spirit dynamics, church building and breakthrough believer lifestyle.

PRAISE & WORSHIP LIFESTYLE:
The heart of worship; worship lifestyle; theology of worship; dynamics of breakthrough worshippers; ignite these in your life and corporate body / the Church.

PUBLIC RELATIONS A:
Important aspects of outreach and ministry etiquette.

TEAM DYNAMICS:
The importance of functioning in a team; practical guidelines.

KINGDOM FINANCE:
Kingdom mindset in business; empowering Kingdom advancement; practical application.

CHURCH PLANTING:
Apostolic strategies for planting of churches practically explained.

PREACHING AND TEACHING:
Introduction to enable the Student to preach the word of God. Enabling of the Student to teach and bring forth a clear message.

STATURE DEVELOPMENT:
Students will be discipled in the academy, in small groups and in the student houses. This entails building relationship with the leaders where accountability can grow and character can be formed. Evaluation will take place in 7 facets: Discipline; character; attitude; practical lifestyle; leadership; people skills and general growth.

(C) Ministry Training:

Go on an eight week National or International tour or outreach. All students need to go on a tour in order to receive a Word Certificate of Completion. Each student needs to pass a character evaluation before they will be allowed to go on tour.

(D) Various Training Options:

FULL TIME:
Complete one year of Dance Training; continue to study for a further 2nd and 3rd year; complete one year Training in any of the other Academies.

PART TIME:
Training Conference in June-July (3 weeks) & in December (2 weeks); visit any of the Creare Bases near you; weekend workshops & evening classes; visiting tour teams.

(E) Post Training Opportunities:
  • Lecturer [extra mural] at Christian or secular schools.
  • Lecturer at a Creare Training Centre.
  • Join a full time local, national or international tour team.
  • Start your own academy or training centre.
  • Start a dance group or dance team in a congregation.
  • Further your congregation or dance school with the new input and training received.
