Why Drama?

IF WE LOOK AT THE LIFES OF THE PROPHETS WE SEE THAT THEY USE DRAMA TO BRING A MESSAGE FROM GOD DRAMA IS USING YOUR BODY &VOICE TO EXPRESS THE HEART OF THE FATHERS, AS WE ARE CO-ACTORS WITH CHRIST!
LIVE A LIFESTYLE OF DRAMA AS YOU ARE CALLED TO BE AMBASSADORS OF THE POTRAYING HIS CHARACTER AND WAYS

IN A ONE YEAR CURRICULUM:

(A) Drama Training:

DRAMA 1:
Introduction to basic drama techniques, mime, dance, rap story telling, puppets and improvisation.

DRAMA 2:
Writing, directing, acting and technique.

DRAMA 3:
Speech training, character portrayal, street drama.

DRAMA TECHNIQUE A:
Practical application of drama technique, history.

PUPPETS A:
Making of puppets, writing scripts and manipulating of puppets.

CLOWNING A:
Make-up and costume, basic technique.

MIME A:
Costume, improvisation and basic technique.

FILM A:
Theory on what is needed to make your own film.

DIRECTING A:
Direct a play, Directing History, Must have completed 6 other specified A-levels to enroll.

MAKE-UP A:
Normal, creative and stage make-up.

COSTUMING A:
Designing and making of a costume.

STAGING A:
Build and design stage props and stages.

SCRIPWRITING AND ANALYZING A:
Format and Structure of a film script.

DRAMA PERSPECTIVE A:
Biblical foundation and perspectives of drama, drama as a worship lifestyle.

DRAMA EDUCATION A:
Teaching drama to children, how to give drama 1 and 2.

DRAMA EDUCATION B:
Training adults in drama, how to give drama 3 and specific A-levels.

CLOWNING B:
Clown Production, ministry and clownastics.

MIME B:
Isolation, writing and doing a mime production.

MAKE-UP B:
Making of scars and wounds, use of latex make-up. (not compulsory for 1st year drama academy)

CAMERAWORK A:
(from Multimedia Academy) Get to know your equipment, technique and practical application.

WRITNG A:
(from Multimedia Academy) Senses and sensible writing, tools of trade.

(B) Lifestyle Training:

HEAR AND OBEY:
A practical way of learning to walk with God on a daily basis and growing in discerning His voice.

PROPHETIC CREATIVITY A:
Creating an awareness about the prophetic; passionate dynamics to launch people into the prophetic; relevance.

   
PROPHETIC CREATIVITY B:
Definition of a breakthrough believer’s lifestyle; breakthrough relationship lifestyle (building in the Spirit); breakthrough worship lifestyle; breakthrough leadership lifestyle.

PROPHETIC EVANGELISM:
Learning to hear from God and then to be led to impact lives creatively.

SCHOOL OF THE PROPHETS:
A two week intensive equipping in spirit dynamics, church building and breakthrough believer lifestyle.

PRAISE & WORSHIP LIFESTYLE:
The heart of worship; worship lifestyle; theology of worship; dynamics of breakthrough worshippers; ignite these in your life and corporate body / the Church.

PUBLIC RELATIONS A:
Important aspects of outreach and ministry etiquette.

TEAM DYNAMICS:
The importance of functioning in a team; practical guidelines.

KINGDOM FINANCE:
Kingdom mindset in business; empowering Kingdom advancement; practical application.

CHURCH PLANTING:
Apostolic strategies for planting of churches practically explained.

PREACHING AND TEACHING:
Introduction to enable the Student to preach the word of God. Enabling of the Student to teach and bring forth a clear message.

STATURE DEVELOPMENT:
Students will be discipled in the academy, in small groups and in the student houses. This entails building relationship with the leaders where accountability can grow and character can be formed. Evaluation will take place in 7 facets: Discipline; character; attitude; practical lifestyle; leadership; people skills and general growth.

(C) Ministry Training:

Go on an eight week National or International tour or outreach. All students need to go on a tour in order to receive a Word Certificate of Completion. Each student needs to pass a character evaluation before they will be allowed to go on tour.

(D) Various Training Options:

FULL TIME:
Complete one year of Art Training; continue to study for a further 2nd and 3rd year; complete one year Training in any of the other Academies.

PART TIME:
Training Conference in June-July (3 weeks) & in December (2 weeks); visit any of the Creare Bases near you; weekend workshops & evening classes; visiting tour teams.

(E) Post Training Opportunities:
  • Lecturer [extra mural] at Christian or secular schools.
  • Lecturer at a Creare Training Centre.
  • Join a full time local, national or international tour team.
  • Start your own academy or training centre.
  • Become a self-employed artist.
  • Further your congregation or art school with new input and training received.
