IN A ONE YEAR CURRICULUM:

(A) Music Training:

INSTRUMENTS:
Guitar (Rhythm, Lead & Classical), Bass-Guitar, Drums, Piano/Keyboard, Vocals and others are being developed.
First Instrument - Complete 3rd Level
Second Instrument - Complete 2nd Level
Vocals 1 - Complete 1st Level (Compulsory)

INSTRUMENT 1ST LEVEL:
Foundation, Music Alphabet, Chords, Scale Tone Chords (Keys) and 18 Songs.

INSTRUMENT 2ND LEVEL:
Advanced Techniques, Different Styles, Improvisation, Scales, Chords & Chord Structures. (Guitar2 & 3: Choice between Lead, Classical or Rhythm)

INSTRUMENT 3RD LEVEL:
Styles Including Blues, Jazz, African and Rock.
Playing by Ear and Applying Advanced Scales.

BAND 1:
Introduction to Band Dynamics, Band Presentation, Practical Implementation. (Instrument Level 1)

BAND 2:
Worship Band Dynamics, Basics of Worship Leading & Worship Lifestyle, Band Presentation, Practical Implementation. (Instrument Level 2)

BAND 3:
Outreach Dynamics, People Skills, Projector Programs (Open Song), Band Presentation & Promotion, Practical Implementation. (Instrument Level 3)

THEORY APPLICATION:
A Year Course to Apply Relative Music Theory to Instruments in a Practical way.

MUSIC HISTORY AND APPRECIATION:
A Study of Different Eras, Cultures and Influential Christian Musicians.

MUSIC COMPOSITION 1 & 2:
Learn to Write and Arrange your own Songs using Different Techniques.

MUSIC EDUCATION A & B:
Most Musicians give Classes as a Source of Income. Learn to teach what you have learned.

SOUND A:
How to set up a Sound System. Course covers Basic Setup and Sound Mixing. (Sound B - Optional)

MUSIC TECHNOLOGY:
Learn to use Sequencers, Drum Machines, Recording Programs, Notation Programs, Loops and Accompaniment Music.

MUSIC INDUSTRY:
How to: Prepare for a Recording, Make a Demo, Register a Song, Find a Producer, Market CDs and Understand the Music Industry. (Optional)

MUSIC WEEKS:
Four Weeks to Develop in Your Instruments.

MUSIC THEORY:
  • Theory 1: Scales, Notes and Time
  • Theory 2: Intervals, Transposing and Melody Writing
  • Theory 3: Transposing, Minor Scales and 2-part Harmony
  • Theory 4: Intervals, Four-Part Harmony
  • Theory 5: Four-Part Harmony, Chords (Optional)

(B) Lifestyle Training:

HEAR AND OBEY:
A practical way of learning to walk with God on a daily basis and growing in discerning His voice.

PROPHETIC CREATIVITY A:
Creating an awareness about the prophetic; passionate dynamics to launch people into the prophetic; relevance.

PROPHETIC CREATIVITY B:
Definition of a breakthrough believer’s lifestyle; breakthrough relationship lifestyle (building in the Spirit); breakthrough worship lifestyle; breakthrough leadership lifestyle.

PROPHETIC EVANGELISM:
Learning to hear from God and then to be led to impact lives creatively.

SCHOOL OF THE PROPHETS:
A two week intensive equipping in spirit dynamics, church building and breakthrough believer lifestyle.

PRAISE & WORSHIP LIFESTYLE:
The heart of worship; worship lifestyle; theology of worship; dynamics of breakthrough worshippers; ignite these in your life and corporate body / the Church.

PUBLIC RELATIONS A:
Important aspects of outreach and ministry etiquette.

TEAM DYNAMICS:
The importance of functioning in a team; practical guidelines.

KINGDOM FINANCE:
Kingdom mindset in business; empowering Kingdom advancement; practical application.

CHURCH PLANTING:
Apostolic strategies for planting of churches practically explained.

PREACHING AND TEACHING:
Introduction to enable the Student to preach the word of God. Enabling of the Student to teach and bring forth a clear message.

STATURE DEVELOPMENT:
Students will be discipled in the academy, in small groups and in the student houses. This entails building relationship with the leaders where accountability can grow and character can be formed. Evaluation will take place in 7 facets: Discipline; character; attitude; practical lifestyle; leadership; people skills and general growth.

   
(C) Ministry Training:

Go on an eight week National or International tour or outreach. All students need to go on a tour in order to receive a Word Certificate of Completion. Each student needs to pass a character evaluation before they will be allowed to go on tour.

(D) Various Training Options:

FULL TIME:
Complete one year of Music Training; continue to study for a further 2nd and 3rd year; complete one year Training in any of the other Academies.

PART TIME:
Training Conference in June-July (3 weeks) & in December (2 weeks); visit any of the Creare Bases near you; weekend workshops & evening classes; visiting tour teams.

(E) Post Training Opportunities:

  • Lecturer [extra mural] at Christian or secular schools.
  • Lecturer at a Creare Training Centre.
  • Join a full time local, national or international tour team.
  • Start your own academy or training centre.
  • Start your own band in your congregation.
  • Further your congregation and band with new input and training received
